RONNIE
****Success Story****
Ronnie was advertised on the page on 12th Jan. This week we had Ronnie join our family, in the middle of nowhere in the Peak District. He is a perfect gentleman and has immediately settled in 💓 he’s used every cat bed in the house that we bought him plus finding his own soft spots round the house! He has quickly got the house rule of no walking on the kitchen counters, so has chosen a chair with the best view! Great with the two children, will happily supervise their crafting table(!) so couldn’t ask for better than our Ronnie!

WINNIE & OSCAR
****Success Story****
Winnie and her sibling Oscar was offered for Rehoming. Winnie has found her forever home with Alexis & Chris and Angela has decided to now keep Oscar, hoping he settles as an only cat.
I would like, on behalf of The Bengal Cat Club, to say a massive Thank you to Angela, Alexis and Chris for kindly and generously donating the Rehoming fee to our Welfare fund, its very much appreciated.
I have received the following from Winnies new owners, Alexis & Chris. Thank you so much for the update and your kind words, was a pleasure to have been of some help.
My husband, Chris, and I have had the absolute pleasure of adopting Winnie.
I collected her from Leicester on Friday - she was such a loving and affectionate cat when I saw her with Angela, and she was extremely attached to Angela which was lovely to see, although it was a very sad parting. It was fortunate that Winnie loves Angela so much as I somehow did not secure the cat carrier when taking her to the car, and she escaped! But she came straight back to Angela (which is almost unheard of for a Bengal I understand given how clever they are) and then we headed back to Brighton from Leicester in very good time to avoid any rush hour traffic. To my horror when we got on the M1 there had just been a serious collision and we were at a standstill for 3 hours! It took us 6 hours to get home, but poor little Winnie was an absolute superstar - she miaowed very occasionally and didn't relieve herself at all. I couldn't believe how brave she was!
She was very scared when she first got here at 6pm Friday and understandably hid from us, and would barely eat. We kept the house very quiet and dark to give her confidence. She then started to explore and was so funny as she was opening cupboards and even turning on the oven hob! We quickly learnt about Bengal proofing! She was still very frightened of us though and hid behind the bath all of yesterday, but we left her litter tray in the bathroom and food/water just outside, and she ate a little overnight. Yesterday was a tough day as she hid all day, only ate a little in the morning, and I was worried about her, although of course hiding was normal given the trauma of the move, journey, and not knowing or trusting us.
Last night, I broke the rules of leaving a cat to come to you etc. as I trusted my instincts and went to stroke her (as I had witnessed how beautifully affectionate and loving she was with Angela) and I kept stroking her, speaking very softly to her all the time, and she responded by giving me a little miaow, and then she came out and was so affectionate and adorable - we had lots of gentle strokes, rolling over onto her back and showing us her belly, purring, and then my husband and I played with a ball with each other and she watched fascinated, and then joined in! We spent about an hour with her socialising, and she really seemed to enjoy herself and grew in confidence. She then used her litter tray for the first proper time, and I was able to feed her properly for the first time by encouraging her with soft voice. She was then so much fun overnight! I could hear her all night rushing about, using her litter tray, attacking the bags of treats we inadvertantly left out as we were upstairs at 1am with them rewarding her for her play - she wasn't actually interested in them, she just wanted to get into them as she was finding this fun!
She has been fantastic at using her litter tray, and so I left the bedroom doors (we only have carpets in the bedroom) open last night, and she came into our room and explored, and I found her happily asleep this morning in the spare room under the bed. I spoke to her for about 20 minutes and playing with her toys whilst she watched, and then she came out and we had lots of cuddles and affection, and then she ate happily whilst I spoke to her. She then went downstairs and explored, and opened the understairs cupboard (god knows how!) and stayed in there for a bit, but has since come out and up to me and is now asleep in the spare bedroom - the sun is shining on that room so she is enjoying the rays!
Winnie is just the loveliest, most gentle and sweet natured little cat we have ever known. She never gets her claws out when you play or stroke her, and will just touch us with her paw - she's just adorable and a complete credit to Angela and Greg for the way they have raised and loved her and gained her trust following a troubled background as a kitten before she went to them to learn about love. We feel so lucky and honoured to have little Winnie, and will be forever grateful to Angela and Greg for allowing us to adopt her, and to the Bengal Cat Club and Tracey Wilkinson for everything they do - we will be continually donating!
Lots of love,
Lex & Chris xx

TWEED, MITCH & ESMERELDA
****Success Story****
Thank you Janice, for sharing your experience with us and we wish Tweed, Mitch & Esmerelda continued happiness with you xx
Last Saturday we adopted three beautiful Bengals.. Mitch, Tweed and Esmeralda.. l am so grateful for having been given this opportunity both from Tracey here.. and also their previous guardian who felt l could be entrusted to care and love them as much as he did.. l know it was a difficult decision, not taken lightly but lm pleased to say that the transition could not have been easier ..
Apart from Tweed who we discovered is a Houdini.. and managed to get out of his very secure carrier on the way home.. .. still to this day we can’t figure how.. but l believe this is not the first time ..but having got out.. remained in my lap till we got home 🥴
After the first night of letting them settle.. the following day both the boys started bonding with me much to my surprise.. and delight
Esmeralda took a couple more days to totally accept me.. but as you can see from all three on my lap.. they have now completely accepted me.. l was told by her previous guardian that this is very unusual as she isn’t easily won over
And very rarely sat with the boys..
I have kept him updated on them.. and he is happy that they are settled have a new besotted guardian 🥰
Daily l learn more and more about their characters.. and am in awe watching them.. and playing with them
.. l might add lve got pretty much nothing done over the last week apart from enjoying this time lve been able to spend making them feel secure
They are so beautiful, sweet, crazy, adorable and l am totally enchanted...
Hope this post will encourage anyone who may be hesitant to see the joy of rescuing these wonderful creatures 🥰🥰🥰

FUDGE & OSCAR
****Success Story****
Dear Tracey,
I keep meaning to reach out with an update of Fudge and Oscar whom we adopted back in April from Sadie in Leicester.
Both furry babies have settled in really well and Mamma Bear (Fudge) would eat 24/7 if we allowed her. She rules the roost and owns the conservatory! she has her favourite smirgling (pudding pawing) blankets in the living room, bedroom and office for the times when the conservatory is too hot or she wants human company. Oscar loves to explore and climb the willow tree to ensure no one can catch him as he surveys his domain. In the summer he took to sleeping behind my husband’s PC monitor because of the cooling fans from his PC were keeping him cool.
I regularly send photos to Sadie of the duo and the various antics. I am including some photos for you to enjoy!
Thank you again for helping us find these beautiful bengals.
Kind regards,
Tai and Jim

A GOOD NEWS STORY RECEIVED BY TRACEY OUR WELFARE OFFICER
I received this yesterday. This is what makes it all worth it. Thank you David and Hazel for your kind words, I hope Sailor and Dolly bring you much happiness xx
Today Tracey Wilkinson, Welfare Officer for the Bengal Cat Club, made 3 couples very happy!
The 1st couple - Juliana and Julien - desperately needed to find a good home, for the 2nd couple – Dolly and Sailor - they being an inseparable pair of Bengals, the owners of humans Juliana and Julien. The 3rd couple – David & Hazel – had been keenly wanting to share their rural home with a Bengal. As a bonus, in addition to a rural home, came a Qualified Veterinary Nurse - David & Hazel’s daughter-in-law!
Following 2 separate “adverts” on the Bengal Cat Club face book, from the 1st and 3rd couples, with photos kindly provided by the 2nd couple, this resulted in several phone calls, and emails. As a result, the 1st and 3rd couple felt the situation and solution would be ideal (subject to the 2nd couple’s approval of course!)
Following a 90 mile car trip by the 1st couple, provided for the 2nd couple to the 3rd couple, approval and consent was given by the 2nd couple who declared the sofa, armchair and bean-bag as their newly acquired property along with all other contents of the rural home, and a Personal Veterinary Nurse!
The 1st couple said to the 3rd couple, “Thank you both so, so much, for everything. We never imagined we would find such an amazing home for the furries, and us making new friends on the way.”
The 3rd couple said to the 1st couple and 2nd couple, “You are truly wonderful couples!”
The 2nd couple said, “Enough already! Hand over the food, sofa, armchair…”
The moral of the story – Tracey Wilkinson is the lady to speak with if you want to have a happy bunch of couples!
Many Thanks Tracey, from couples 1, 2 and 3
